Verkiezingsprogramma Humanities Rally Partij

Humanities Rally gaat naast al haar andere bezigheden ook de raad in, onder de naam Humanities Rally Partij. De acties vergaderingen en protesten gaan onveranderd door.. De raadsleden proberen te informeren met stukken die we zo (eerder) kunnen krijgen en streven dezelfde doelen na, alleen via een andere weg.

Waarom een nieuwe partij, vanuit Humanities Rally?

• Directe democratie.
  Humanities Rally blijft in het openbaar vergaderen. Iedere student kan het hele jaar lang punten aanbrengen. Wij luisteren altijd naar de beweging.
• Waakhond.
  Humanities Rally heeft al veel bereikt. Onze raadsleden gaan volgend jaar controleren of het faculteitsbestuur zich ook echt aan de afspraken houdt.

Wat zijn onze punten?

• Specialisering boven verbreding.
  Alle kleine talen blijven en de minimumeis voor twintig studenten per mastervak gaat van tafel.

• Meer macht aan de studenten- en docentenraden.
  Medezeggenschapsraden moeten toegang krijgen tot alle stukken. De bevoegdheden moeten uitgebreid worden.

• Volledige financiële en bestuurlijke openheid.
  Niet alleen  medezeggenschapsraden, maar alle studenten en docenten moeten inzicht krijgen in het opereren van de faculteit

• Opleidingen worden weer autonoom.
  Docenten bepalen zelf welke vakken ze aanbieden en wat voor onderzoek ze doen, niet de decaan of een faculteitsbrede “College”-directeur.

Humanities Rally will be joining the student council, under the name Humanities Rally Partij. This does not mean that we will stop doing what we’ve been doing until now. Our actions, meetings and protests will continue in the same way. Our coucil members will try to provide the movement with information available to the student council and they will try and achieve the same goals in different ways.

Why a new party from Humanities Rally?

• Direct democracy.
  Humanities Rally will continue to hold public meetings. Every student can bring up issues to add to our agenda throughout the year. The party will always listen to the movement.

• Watchdog
  Humanities Rally has achieved much. Our council members will make sure that the            facultyboard lives up to its commitments.

 

What is our agenda?

• Specialisation over generalisation
  All ‘small languages’ must remain as studies and it must remain possible to have mastercourses with less than twenty students.

• More power to the student council and works council.
  The student and works councils must have access to all relevant information and their capabilities must be broadened.

• Complete financial and administrative transparency.
  Not only the councils, but all students and staff should have insight into the workings of the faculty.

• Studies will regain autonomy.
  Teachers will themselves determine what courses to teach and what subjects to research, not the dean or a facultywide “College” director
