Opheffing Humanities Rally Partij

Beste allemaal,

Met onderstaande brief maakt Humanities Rally Partij zijn opheffing en de redenen daarvoor bekend. Zoals ook uit de brief zal blijken, betekent dit echter niet het einde van Humanities Rally. De strijd tegen de bezuinigingen en daarbij tegen de verschraling van het onderwijs is allesbehalve ten einde. Wij herpakken ons en zullen terugkeren als actiebeweging. Wij strijden door tegen de verdwijning van specialisme, het verdwijnen van keuzeruimte, de groeiende internationalisering die ten koste gaat aan de kwaliteit van het onderwijs en de werkdruk waaraan het personeel van de universiteit ten onder gaat. Wij roepen iedereen die dit leest op zich bij ons te voegen.

Volgende week woensdag zullen we de eerste bijeenkomst organiseren. Op 18 april om 20:00 komen we samen in De Doelenzaal in de Universiteitbibliotheek.

Dear all,

In the letter below Humanities Rally Party announces its discontinuation and the reasons for this decision. Unfortunately there is only a Dutch version of the letter, but a translation will follow soon. The letter makes clear that the discontinuation of the party won’t mean the end of Humanities Rally. The fight against austerity and thereby the fight against the impoverishment of education is unfortunately all but over. We will make our return as an action group. We will keep on fighting against the disappearance of specialism, the disappearance of electives, the growing internationalization at the the expense of the quality of education and the pressing workload the staff of the university suffers from. We call upon everyone who reads this to join us.

Next week we will organize our first meeting. On the 18th of April at 20:00 we will come together in De Doelenzaal at the University Library.
